FIELD: agricultural engineering.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus has endless cellular belt with working surface inclined to horizontal surface, said belt being disposed on driving and driven members, heap charging and retaining mechanism, and clean product discharge mechanism. Endless belt surface is composed of horizontal polymeric planks replaceable depending on composition and state of heap and pivotally positioned on bushing-and-roller type chain contours of driving and driven belt members, said members being spaced from one another by gap equal to minimal standard size of product under cleaning procedure. Each plank has at its outer side a set of cells made integral therewith and is equipped with rigidity rib defining T-shaped section between cells. Axes of each driving and driven members are arranged at an angle to horizontal plane and, correspondingly, in misaligned relationship with respect to each other so that sites of attachment of adjacent planks to chain contours of driving and driven members define parallelogram.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability in operation of working tools, reduced dimensions of construction and improved quality of cleaning onion and roots of elongated shape from soil.
