FIELD: sewing industry, in particular, sleeve pattern plotting process.
SUBSTANCE: method involves folding material in two; calculating coefficients: "a" depending on designed size of article, "b" depending upon proposed growth, "k" of designed fitting norm per 1 cm of arm-hole length; determining height of sleeve rounded part by graphic means from correlations of rectangular triangle wherein one of legs is length equal to half the sum of shoulder embrace plus allowance to shoulder embrace, and hypotenuse is length calculated by formula: (0.5+k)-AHL+a+b, where AHL is arm-hole length. Position of auxiliary points for forming of roundness line depends on coefficient values of "a" and "k". Lower portion of roundness line for elbow part of sleeve is plotted by means of tangent to lower portion of roundness line of sleeve front part drawn through upper point of sleeve lower lines symmetric relative to vertical line defining width of sleeve roundness.
EFFECT: improved quality of sleeve patterns for figures of various sizes and heights and improved setting of sleeve in article.
