METHOD OF REPLACEMENT OF WIRE ROPE IN HOISTING DEVICE Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering; hoisting devices.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for replacing worn out wire ropes in hoisting devices by new ones. According to proposed method, wire rope to be replaced is wound off pulley-block system and is connected with new wire rope which is reeved into pulley-block system after which wire ropes are disconnected, wire rope to be replaced is removed from winding drums and new wire rope is fastened on drums. New wire rope is laid on side in line with covering at laying out and is extended, after which new wire rope is laid on site to form two runs with ends pointed to one side and with bend in the middle. Both runs of wire rope, starting from bend are wound on reel, uncovering the wire rope as winding on. In wire rope to be replaced and reeved in pulley - block system both runs are cut off and connected with ends of new wire rope. Then new wire rope is reeved in pulley-block system, wire ropes are disconnected, ends of wire rope to be replaced are removed from winding drums and ends of new wire rope are fastened on drums.

EFFECT: preservation of quality of wire rope to be replaced.
