SUBSTANCE: the arbalest includes a stock, butt, trigger mechanism and a collision multibow, whose arms are located in pairs in collision to each other. All units of the arbalest are installed in the same plane and the distance between the units of each pair does not exceed the length of one arm. The arbalest stock may be provided with a carriage made in the form of a rectangular frame fitted with a screw rod.
