SUBSTANCE: apparatus for preparing of foundation used in manufacture of bee hive frames has sequentially arranged wax raw material sterilizer, wax strip former composed of drum partly dipped into bath arranged under drum and filled with liquid wax, and strip forming mechanism, cooling unit, accumulating rotary mechanism, mechanism for applying cells onto wax strip, strip cutting tool and cut wax sheet receiver. Drum is equipped with cooling system composed of two opposite pipes extending within drum along cylindrical wall in parallel with its axis, with one of pipes having cooling liquid supplying opening and other pipe having liquid discharge opening. Apparatus has cooling unit with temperature regulator, two inlets and two outlets, with one inlet-outlet pair being connected to drum cooling system and other inlet-outlet pair being connected to wax strip cooling system for providing closed-cycle water circulation. Wax raw material sterilizer has replaceable vessel disposed on bottom and copying its shape. Vessel is adapted for collecting contaminants and rosin fraction settling from melted wax. Cooling liquid supplying and discharge pipes may be straight or may be made in the form of helical spiral. Wax strip cooling unit has bath with spraying head arranged above bath and rollers located in bath and adapted for directed stretching of strip.

EFFECT: improved physicochemical properties of raw wax material, maximal identity of predetermined geometric parameters and strength properties of foundation, increased efficiency in manufacture of wax sheets and reduced consumption of cooling liquid for regulating its temperature parameters.
