FIELD: shipbuilding; rigging for water craft.
SUBSTANCE: shipboard rigging includes vertical mast made in form of fixed rod with swivel pipe mounted on it and flexible sail consisting of three triangular sections. Articulated to lower part of swivel pipe are two booms. Sail folding unit is made in form of two vertical shafts secured to ends of swivel pipe by means of detachable cylindrical articulations. Secured to each shaft is sail section. Sail unfolding unit is made in form of two winches connected by means of boltropes tightened on blocks with free corners of sail triangular sections. Both vertical shafts have independent rotation drives and both booms have independent drives for turn in horizontal plane.
EFFECT: facilitated handling of ship; enhanced maneuverability.
