PRECHAMBER Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

Abstract RU 2259491 C1

FIELD: mechanical engineering; automotive industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to internal combustion engines, namely, to valve actuating mechanisms. Proposed prechamber of internal combustion engine has cylindrical surface with fuel nozzle. Said cylindrical surface is limited at both ends faces by spheres and is provided with outlet along axis over adjoining curvilinear surfaces with variable radius of curvature providing narrowing at outlet in place of mating with main chamber. Fuel nozzle and plug hole are located in middle part of cylindrical surface being directed to point of mating of cylindrical surface with curvilinear surface.

EFFECT: reduced consumption of fuel, toxicity and smokiness of exhaust gases of rotary internal combustion engine.
