METHOD FOR FORESTRY OF TERRITORIES WITH PERENNIAL ORNAMENTAL WOODY PLANTS Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: forestry, in particular, urban forestry, may be used for municipal and home's ground forestry.

SUBSTANCE: method involves growing perennial ornamental woody plants in portable containers and placing said containers with plants on territory to be forested, with young woody slow-growing plants being placed in containers, one or several plants in one container of the same kind; for each season of the year, forming sets of portable containers with different kinds of perennial ornamental woody plants in accordance with their ornamental characteristics and resistance to unfavorable climatic and technogenic factors at the given season of the year; during the year, periodically replacing previously placed portable containers by containers with perennial ornamental woody plants having ornamental characteristics and resistance to unfavorable climatic and technogenic factors characteristic for the given territory and corresponding to conditions of actual season of the year; placing removed containers with growing plants in storage wherein optimal growing conditions for each kind of woody plants are maintained; providing soil moisture content in portable container optimal for growing of ornamental woody plant of given kind before placing container on territory to be forested, with actual season of the year being taken into account. When perennial ornamental woody plants growing in portable containers reach height hindering transportation thereof and/or positioning on territory to be forested, said woody plants are transplanted from portable containers to permanent growing place while young woody plants are planted in empty containers.

EFFECT: increased ornamental effect, reduced expenses for foresting of territory, increased life of plants and improved capacity of survival of plants owing to preliminary adaptation thereof to unfavorable climatic and technogenic conditions.
