FIELD: separating solid materials.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises separating suspension in the gravity field at the rate corresponding to the that of settling particles larger than 0.1 mm with the separation of fine sediment, such as mud, that is directed to the individual branch for condensing and multi-stage washing and hydraulic classifying simultaneously with the multi-stage washing in the centrifugal field with the use of a portion of the washing fluid from the system for washing fine sediment and subsequent clearing mud in the same system for washing. The device comprises hydraulic separator for separating and condensing sands, hydrocyclone, and cylindrical sleeves for washing sands mounted upstream of the hydrocyclone. The sleeves are connected in series and have branch pipes for tangential inflowing of the suspension to be divided from above, branch pipes for supplying washing fluid from bellow, branch pipe for tangential outflowing of sands which is mounted under the pipeline for supplying washing fluid and goes into the branch pipe for supplying suspension to be divided, and branch pipe for discharging of mud mounted at the axis of the sleeve from above.
EFFECT: improved washing quality.
