FIELD: nuclear power engineering for thermal decomposition of hydrocarbon compounds such as oil or coal into fractions including gaseous one.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method makes use of molten lead cooled fast reactor. Molten lead loop has jet flow section transferring mentioned heat to argon by direct contact. Mentioned heat is transferred from argon to hydrocarbon compound over double-loop circuit. In the process heat is transferred from argon to intermediate lead loop and from the latter, to mentioned closed loop by contact heat transfer on intermediate-loop lead jets. Remaining portion of gaseous fraction is conveyed to gas-turbine power plant and waste gas of the latter is pumped into storage for settling down and reuse whenever required. Closed loop is filled with argon during initial warm-up period.
EFFECT: enhanced radiation and biological safety of method.
