FIELD: chemistry and energy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a reactor for pyrolysis of hydrocarbon gases without access to oxygen to produce hydrogen and solid carbon, comprising a heat-resistant housing with a sealed lid and with a liquid metal coolant. The initial hydrocarbon gaseous feedstock enters the lower zone of the molten metal coolant through a row of nozzles located at the base of the reactor vessel with nozzles with a diameter of 0.1-0.5 mm and a distance between nozzles of at least 10 mm, made of refractory metal with a melting point of at least 1400°C, inside the heat-resistant vessel there is a vertical axis of rotation, the lower end of which is located in a recess in the center of the base of the reactor vessel. Disc bushings and discs with inclined surfaces are arranged in series on the rotation axis, diffuser bushings and diffusers with inclined surfaces are inserted in series in the reactor vessel, discs with inclined surfaces and diffusers with inclined surfaces are made of heat-resistant material and form an image of a channel filled with molten coolant, and provide the path of movement of the upward movement of hydrocarbon gas bubbles. In the top cover of the reactor there is a channel for removing hydrogen, in the upper part of the reactor vessel there is a soot removal disk fixed on the axis of rotation through the channel.
EFFECT: production of hydrogen from hydrocarbon gases with the complete absence of emissions of gaseous oxides into the atmosphere and the possibility of collecting solid carbon waste.
