FIELD: transport engineering; crawler carriers.
SUBSTANCE: proposed crawler carrier contains engine and transmission compartment and control cabin with seats for crew members in front part of carrier, load-carrying platform arranged after cabin and crawler propulsor including seven pairs of torsion suspensions of track rollers and worm-type track adjuster. Carrier is made to provided higher cross country capacity owing to distribution of full-weight loads under suspension rollers at ratio (1.25-1.45):(1.25-1.45) for first and last pairs of track rollers and where 1/7 th of total load on pair of track rollers is taken for 1.0. Remaining load is uniformly distributed between the rest of five middle pairs of track rollers, with subsequent provision of preliminary static tension force by track adjuster at level of traction force on slope with sift ground.
EFFECT: improved stability of track in guide at increased cross country capacity.
