FIELD: survey and mineral extraction from sea bed, particularly for underwater borehole drilling.
SUBSTANCE: device has support vessel filled with water and communicating with atmosphere and pump with electric drive installed on the vessel. The device also has water level sensor to determine water level in the vessel, drill rod with drilling bit, hydraulic cylinders for supply mechanism, hydraulic drive for rotation unit, drill rod rotation control distributor, drill rod feeding control distributor, drill rod feeding control throttle, drill rod rotation control throttle and control system. Device is provided with vertical and horizontal nozzles arranged on bottom and side surface of the support vessel, flow distributor adapted to control nozzle opening and closing and position sensor used to determine device position relative sea bed. Nozzles are linked with the vessel through above flow distributor, which is connected to pump outlet and to water level sensors and position sensors through control system.
EFFECT: provision of device self-movement at the command supplied from control unit or in accordance with stored program.
