FIELD: geological prospecting on bottoms of offshore strips.

SUBSTANCE: device has boring rod with a chisel, supporting frame equipped with folding supports and made in form of a tank filled with water, and compressed air supply. Said tank filled with water is made of two rigidly interconnected hollow cylinders, symmetrical relatively to longitudinal axis of device. Each hollow cylinder is separated by crosspieces on upper, middle and lower sections, upper section is made water-tight and filled with air, in middle and lower sections in side walls of cylinders through ports are made, folding supports are equipped with ballasting loads in lower part. Middle and lower sections are connected to source of compressed air supply. Means are provided for towage of device to operating location as afloat, as onboard a ship, necessity of providing for high precision of mutual location of device and ship for its transportation during its raising and lowering is excluded, also excluded are possible breakdowns as a result of hurtle of device and ship in case of device raising onto board of ship and lowering onto water, construction is simplified, hydraulic drives are excluded, and, accordingly, also excluded is necessity for use of sea water as operating substance.

EFFECT: higher reliability of device operation.
