FIELD: biometric person identification.

SUBSTANCE: device has light source, sensor optical element with angle of full inner reflection at glass-water limit, optical lens system, photo-receiver. Light source has light sources matrix. Each element of light sources matrix forms a flat light beam. Light source has prism in form of wedge. Prism forms homogenous total light flow. One of wedge surfaces has raster surface. Sensor optical element can have flat, convex, or concave working surface. Optical system has compensation prism in form of wedge. Optical lens system has two positive lens components. Lens components form an afocal dual telecentric optical system. First lens component consists of two flat-convex lenses, second lens component consists of two meniscuses and two convex-concave lenses.

EFFECT: higher quality, lesser dimensions, higher efficiency.
