GRAIN HEAP DISTRIBUTOR Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, equipment for distribution of grain heap among working tools of grain cleaning combines.

SUBSTANCE: distributor has feeding branch pipe and guiding cone arranged at base of branch pipe. Plates defining separating surface are provided on cone base. Separating surface of plates is made in the form of truncated cone with plate inclination angle of 15-20°. Plate thickness to plate width ratio is 0.03-0.05. Fraction discharge trays are disposed at truncated cone base. Grain heap is fed from feeding branch pipe onto guiding cone and is further delivered by gravity onto separating surface of truncated cone. Small-sized fraction passes through plates of separating surface of truncated cone and large-sized fraction is discharged from separating surface. Fractions distributed among trays are delivered for further processing.

EFFECT: reduced grain loss by decreased delivery of grain into tails due to uniform distribution of grain heap over separating surface.
