FIELD: food-processing industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves cleaning grain from contaminants; gaging grain into two fractions by means of sieve, with diameter difference of round openings of upper and tails sieves for selection of each fraction being within 0.45-0.55 mm; manufacturing buckwheat groat in grain-cleaning machine having charging conveyor mounted on frame, feeding chamber positioned between two vertical air channels and provided with distributor, and upper and lower sieve shoes connected with one air channel. Upper screen of lower sieve shoe has two interconnected screens. Tilt board with gravity spout is positioned below second screen in the direction of grain movement. Sheller positioned at discharge side of sieve shoes is communicated with airduct of aspiration system and feeding end of loading conveyor. Discharge end of loading conveyor is connected via pipeline with vertical air channel, which is connected with upper sieve shoe.
