FIELD: oil producing industry.

SUBSTANCE: device to prevent choking and wedging of mechanisms of electric centrifugal pumps in walls is installed higher than pump and it is provided with settler for mechanical impurities and labyrinth for separating particles of impurities installed in upper of device. To regulate direction of flow, cylinder with movable rod is installed inside the device. Upper valve installed on rod opens hole in upper part of cylinder when pump is stopped to drain liquid through labyrinth, and lower valve holds rod in upper position and it opens passage when pump is operating. Holes are made in lower part of settler. Cylinder is installed inside device for movement, being loaded downwards by return spring and equipped with conical ring seal to overlap hole in lower part of settler when pump is cut off. Lower valve is made float-type to lift movable cylinder through upper valve and is provided with compression spring. Circular magnet is installed on device housing at inlet to labyrinth.

EFFECT: prevention of choking and wedging of actuating mechanism of pump when pump is cut out.
