FIELD: medical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device has dielectric antenna connected to waveguide to electromagnetic radiation source. The antenna is manufactured as a dielectric rod and enclosed into sealed protective envelope manufactured from biologically inert material. Dielectric rings having material of relative permittivity of ε/ε0=8 are spitted upon the dielectric rod of relative permittivity ε/ε0=2.6.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; maximum radiation directed in perpendicular to the axis.
