FIELD: oil production industry, particularly development of high-viscous oil deposits with the use of heat.
SUBSTANCE: method involves performing permanent mine workings in lower formation part or below it up to reaching deposit boundaries along the strike; excavating tunnels transversely to permanent mine workings in opposite directions up to deposit boundaries or to mining level along formation raise and dip and forming panels in deposit area; arranging production, vapor-distribution and injection wells over panel areas so that pillars abutting permanent mine workings are left; successively developing deposit by panels from shafts to deposit boundaries along the strike, wherein opened panel parts are cut from deposit boundaries along formation dip and rise towards mining workings; isolating heads of each tunnel after cutting opened panel parts; cutting pillars in reverse order, namely from deposit boundary to shafts along the strike after all opened panel parts development, wherein production and vapor-distribution wells penetrating-in the pillars are drilled from permanent mine workings and killing permanent mine workings after total pillar development.
EFFECT: reduced time and costs of oil deposit development along with reduced heat efflux to mine tunnels and normalization of thermal oil well conditions.
