FIELD: electrical energy generation.
SUBSTANCE: inert gas is ionized in sealed space with pressure reduced to approximately 10 - 100 Pa by means of electric arc in electric field orthogonal to electric field of arc; this field is used to extract electrons from electric arc, to accelerate them, and to produce electron beam directed to negatively polarized electrode; electric arc cathode is positively polarized by positive ions of ionized gas to generate electric current in external electric circuit between opposing polarizing electrodes which conveys electrical energy to user, whereupon recombined gas is ionized again.
EFFECT: improved power characteristics; wasteless process.
