FIELD: electrical engineering; adjustable-frequency ac drives.
SUBSTANCE: proposed recuperative electric drive has off-line voltage inverter incorporated in double-section frequency changer and built around single-way current conducting switches without shorting out by backward diodes, as well as polar filter capacitor connected together with parallel discharge resistor to output leads of auxiliary diode bridge; the latter is connected through its ac terminals to frequency changer load leads. As a result, changing rectifier over to inverter mode of operation conveys main part of load current to supply mains. Absence of smoothing capacitor impact on current waveform in dc current section is compensated for by high-frequency control of rectifier switches.
EFFECT: elimination of smoothing capacitor impact and low-voltage ripples.
