METHOD FOR TREATING PATIENTS FOR EXACERBATED NEUROLOGIC DISEASES Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

Abstract RU 2262959 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves applying pulsating magnetic field produced by magnetic stimulator at two levels with preliminarily intravenously introduced 10 ml of 20% sodium oxybutirate solution. Pulsating magnetic field is applied at the first level. The field is produced by coil of external diameter equal to 15 cm. Lower segment is exposed contralaterally to anterior parietal cerebral pain syndrome to magnetic field of 1.6 Tesla units, 1 Hz frequency, pulse duration of 200 mcs. It corresponds to cortical sensory analyzer projection of opposite face side. The second level is action with pulsating magnetic field produced by 8-shaped coil of external diameter equal to 10 cm in trigeminus nerve projection. The coil is arranged in a way that direction of current induced in tissues coincides with sensory fiber path and pulsating magnetic field intensity within 15-35% of maximum stimulator power, action frequency of 0.5 Hz during 5 min at the beginning of the treatment course to 10 min in the middle of course and to 5 min at the end of procedure course composed of 10 daily procedures.

EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment.
