FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: facial neuropathy treatment is ensured by transcutaneous, endoural diode IR-laser exposure of wavelength 0.67 mcm on facial nerve in pulse and continuous mode within 3-5 minutes. It is followed with two-level pulse magnetic field exposure. The first level involves magnetic field generated with a coil of external diametre 15 cm that effects on inferior part of cerebral precentral region being counterlateral to prosoparesis. Field intensity is 1.6 T at frequency 1 Hz, pulse duration - 200 mcs and session duration 15 minutes. At the second level, magnetic field generated with a 8-shaped coil each of external diametre 10 cm, effects on a projection of facial nerve at its exit from stylomastoid foramen. Thus the coil is arranged so that current direction induced in tissues coincides that of nervous impulses in facial nerve. Field intensity is 0.4-0.7 T at frequency 0.5 Hz, duration 5 minutes in the beginning of the course, 10 minutes to the middle and 5 minutes - to termination of course of treatment. 10-12 procedures are performed daily.
EFFECT: earlier and more complete restoration of lost motions due to improved functional condition of facial nerve and neuromuscular mimic apparatus.
