FIELD: agricultural engineering.
SUBSTANCE: root digging out tool has active fork-like part made in the form of two shafts rotating in opposite directions and equipped with tips and drive mechanism, which are mounted on carrier platform. Differential mechanism is positioned between tip shafts and drive. Differential mechanism has screw pair for comparison of angular velocities. Said screw pair comprises screw with nut. Screw pair is arranged in case movable relative to carrier platform in transverse plane along guiding beam. Screw pair is equipped with thrusts, and guide has curved surface with apex geometrically coinciding with its longitudinal axis in direction opposite to direction of advancement of digging out tool.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and reduced loss of sugar-bearing root mass.
