FIELD: development of structural heat-resistant steels for making metal molds and centrifugal casting of pipes from high-strength iron.
SUBSTANCE: proposed steel contains the following components, mass-%: carbon, 0.15-0.17; silicon, 0.15-0.37; manganese, 0.40-0.80; chromium, 2.10-2.50; nickel, 0.35-0.50; molybdenum, 0.40-0.60; vanadium, 0.17-0.20; aluminum, 0.025-0.040; sulfur, no more than 0.025; phosphorus, no more than 0.025; copper, no more than 0.25; the remainder being iron. Ratio of content of chromium to content of carbon ranges from 14.0 to 14.7 and ratio of content of vanadium to content of carbon ranges from 1.0 to 1.33. Besides that, ratio of sum of alloying elements of ferritizing agents to sum of alloying elements of austenitizing agents is determined as follows: (%Cr+1.5%Si+%Mo+0.8%V)/(%Ni+30%C+0.5% Mn)= 0.566-0.636.
EFFECT: improved service characteristics of metal molds due to enhanced strength, heat resistance and ductility of steel.
