FIELD: low-voltage switching apparatuses designed for short-circuit protection of electric circuits, electrical installations, and power consumers.

SUBSTANCE: proposed low-voltage control and distribution apparatus incorporating provision for using such apparatus of one size for different rated currents has case, stops for holding its mechanisms in position, rotary insulating cross-arm installed on case axis, as well as movable contacts hinged thereto, spring-loaded relative to cross-arm, and connected by means of flexible wire to external lead. Each pole carries movable contacts made in the form of group of 2n power contacts mounted on same axis as auxiliary contact in a spaced relation and disposed in pairs symmetrically to longitudinal axis of auxiliary contact; all contacts are electrically connected in parallel; switching member of auxiliary contact is drawn out father than power contacts toward apparatus periphery by 20 - 30 mm. Cross-arm is kinematically coupled with trip-free mechanism that has set of levers engageable through springs with operating control handle. Disengaging lever of this mechanism is hinged within case for engaging rotary stirrup installed for engaging pawl that engages disconnecting bar; engagement line of disengaging lever and stirrup is spaced from center of rotary lever axis through 2 - 3 mm. Bar has projection engageable with movable member of release.

EFFECT: enhanced mechanical endurance and operating reliability, increased short-time current sustained by, and reduced size of, apparatus.
