FIELD: producing shaped articles.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises changing the speed of rotation of the worm of the drying machine, hydraulic resistance of the discharging device, and the flow rate of heat-transfer agent, which is supplied to the jacket of the housing, depending on the humidity of the rubber at the outlet of the machine and determining parameter F by measuring power expended for working rubber in the screw passage of the worm, mass flow rate at the outlet of the machine, and the increment of the rubber temperature in the worm passage. The parameter F is determined from the formula F = N - CGΔT , where N is the power spend for working rubber, J/s, C is the specific heat capacity of the wet rubber J/kg°C, G is the mass flow rate, kg/s, and ΔT is the increment of the rubber temperature in the passage of the worm, °C. The flow rate of the heat-transfer agent supplied to the jacket of the housing is changed until the parameter F reaches a minimum.
EFFECT: enhanced quality of rubber.
