FIELD: axial-flow fans incorporating provision for reversing flow direction.

SUBSTANCE: proposed reversible-direction axial-flow fan has variable-speed motor driven impeller provided with blades revolving about axis of revolution; mounted in front of impeller is input guide wheel and installed past this impeller is output guide wheel; guide vanes of input guide wheel and those of output guide wheel are reflection symmetrical relative to radial median surface of impeller; they can be set at certain angle to flow direction so that during flow reversal input guide vane functions as output guide wheel and vice versa, output guide wheel functions as input guide wheel.

EFFECT: ability of attaining aerodynamic power at desired volume flow, enhanced pressure factor and efficiency in both directions of flow.
