FIELD: ventilation.

SUBSTANCE: fan, in particular, axial, radial or diagonal fan, provided with a fan impeller and an output guide apparatus included in the body and/or in the downstream flow channel, wherein said output guide apparatus includes output guide vanes, which only pass along part of the body and/or the flow channel, when viewed in the direction of span, accordingly, the radial direction. The output guide apparatus has a structure acting as a diffuser, which has a gradually expanding flow cross-section, when viewed in the flow direction, wherein two flow areas are made downstream from the impeller, the inner flow area whereof, nearer to the axis when viewed in the direction of span, is limited by the hub ring of the guide apparatus and the outer ring of the guide apparatus, and wherein the outer flow area, further from the axis when viewed in the direction of span, is limited by the outer ring of the guide apparatus and the body wall.
