FIELD: manufacture of road building materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to industrial bitumen material production area, said bitumen materials being based on petroleum feedstock and polymers and being destined for use in road building, damp-proofing operations, sealing, protection of metallic structures and pipelines against corrosion, and manufacture of rolled roofing materials. Method of invention is comprised in completely dissolving rubber in petroleum feedstock preheated to 50-150°C and further oxidation of resulting composition at 190-250°C. Petroleum feedstock is selected from mazut, goudron, and petroleum distillation residue serving as starting material in manufacture of paving bitumen. Amount of rubber should be above 2 and up to 6% of the weight of petroleum feedstock.

EFFECT: enabled production of bituminous materials with a wide range of characteristics depending on required destination of product thereby allowing employment thereof in various areas, including operation under severe climatic conditions.
