FIELD: agriculture, in particular, plant growing.
SUBSTANCE: method involves providing spring soil cultivation to 8-10 cm depth after harvesting; treating vegetating plants with round-up herbicide fed in dose of 4-6 l/hectare during mass growing of stolons. Time for treatment of plants with herbicide is determined from formula: T=ND+10-15, where T is time of treatment beginning from sprouts germination (days); ND is number of days ranging from beginning of germination of sprouts to beginning of formation of stolons; 10-15 is number of days equal to half the period ranging between beginning of formation of stolons and beginning of formation of tubers.
EFFECT: increased efficiency in full killing of plants and cleaning of field before sowing of cereal crops.
