FIELD: microbiological industry, antibiotics, chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for preparing benzylpenicillin sodium salt possessing an antibacterial, anti-inflammatory effect and relating to group of β-lactams. Method involves passing 31-38% aqueous solution of benzylpenicillin potassium salt through sulfocation-exchange resin KU-2-8 in Na+-form at the rate 2-3 volumes of solution per 1 volume of resin/h at 8-10°C and isolation of ready product. Method provides simplifying the technological process in simultaneous preparing benzylpenicillin sodium salt of high quality.
