SUBSTANCE: invention provides a via radical polymerization prepared block copolymer wherein at least one water-soluble block includes at least 30% of hydrophilic units and at least one largely hydrophobic block includes at least 51% of hydrophobic units. Copolymer is characterized by having controlled hydrophilic-hydrophobic balance. In particular, water-soluble block also includes hydrophobic units and summary weight ratio of hydrophilic blocks to hydrophobic blocks varies from 95:5 to 20:80. Copolymer is capable of forming viscous elastic gel in aqueous solution at concentration not higher than 20%.
EFFECT: enabled regulation of modulus of elasticity in aqueous gel.
