FIELD: power engineering; turbines.
SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method of safe racing of solid rotor installed in active magnetic bearings, two modes of operation of said bearings are provided by ACS, first one with highest possible close control which can be provided with due account of response to dynamic actions under continuous safe operation of machine and second one, with close control of one (minimum), two, four orders of magnitude less than close control of first mode, and racing of rotor is started from first mode and then, as rotor speeds up, smooth (shockless) change over from first to second mode and back is carried out according to program provided by ACS of bearing to exclude operation of rotor at resonance and in resonance area of any mode in zone from zero to operating revolutions complying with condition η<ηt providing faultless operation of machine where η is dimensionless overload and ηt is tolerable overload.
EFFECT: provision of safe racing.
