FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention is designed to reduce concentrations of harmful matter in exhaust gases. Proposed exhaust gas converter contains outer and inner reaction chambers, exhaust pipe and nozzle. Flow of exhaust gases is divided into two parts one of which is passed through external reaction chamber, and the other, through internal one. External reaction chamber has no heat insulating layer form outside and partitions are installed on its inner side. Internal reaction chamber is provided with partitions both from inside and outside. Device is equipped with nozzles to inject water vapors into external reaction chamber installed on outlet of exhaust gases from external reaction chamber. Air gets into external chamber owing to ejection effect.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of conversion of exhaust gases.
