FIELD: investigating or analyzing materials.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises generating acoustical waves and receiving and processing the reflected signals. The signals from the recording converters are compared with a given threshold value. The presence of pulse interference can be judged by the excess of these signals over the given threshold value. The acoustical signals that come in the moment of recording the interference are assumed to be uncertain. The remainder data are considered as certain data and are stored. The uncertain signals are excluded from the further analysis. The number of data per unit time are calculated. The permissible rate of the ultrasonic testing is determined from the equation proposed.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability.
