LIGHT-MASKING HEADLIGHT ON LIGHT DIODES Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: engineering of light-masking headlights on light diodes for use on vehicles.

SUBSTANCE: headlight has main and additional optical modules on light diodes, generating white, yellow or near infrared emission with narrow and broad beam of emission respectively, and also light-masking headpiece with blend, in conjunction with one or more lines parallel to each other on light diodes of blue, blue-light blue or blue-green emission color with optical axes, directed at an angle within limits 2-5° below horizontal plane. Lines and modules are connected to electronic transformers or directly to power grid with possible autonomous remote engagement and functioning. Lines are made in form of elongated polygonal circuit boards with light diodes. Light diodes of main module are covered by Fresnel lens, in focus of each cell of which additional shining light diode body is set.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of light masking, better lighting parameters, enhancement of functional capabilities.
