FIELD: light signaling systems for airfields, ships, architectural lighting.
SUBSTANCE: proposed searchlight designed for searching and viewing remote objects has housing with outlet aperture closed with safety-glass or light-filter frame that accommodates parabolic mirror reflector with axial blind hole receiving axially mounted lamp with lamp holder disposed in reflector focus, as well as means for feeding current to power supply or to supply mains converter. Light-emitting extension diode unit made in the form of printed-circuit board mounting light-emitting diodes whose axes are parallel to optical axis of searchlight is installed in vicinity of outlet aperture and blind hole on optical axis of searchlight axially relative to lamp. Converter board is disposed in flat-bottom cylindrical sleeve made of conducting material whose outer surface mounts light-emitting diodes functioning as radiator.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency, effective range, radiating and thermal characteristics, enlarged functional capabilities of searchlight.
