FIELD: transport engineering; vehicle cooling systems.
SUBSTANCE: proposed cooling system radiator of vehicle power plant has frame consisting of upper and lower tanks with holes interconnected by side members, and core made in form of separate cells. Input and outputs of cells are interconnected by vertical branch pipes. Vertical branch pipes are provided with nut threaded joints and sealing members in form of rubber rings arranged on butt joints of branch pipes. Input of cells are furnished with two-position cocks, and outputs, with check valves. Upper tank is provided with transmitter connected with signal lamp found in driver's cab. Each cell of radiator has horizontal layout of tubes and side arrangement of inlet and outlet branch pipes. Like branch pipes of cells of two adjacent rows are united by two-row vertical branch pipes connected in turn with inputs of cells, accommodating two-position cocks, and with outputs of cells accommodating check valves. Side rows of cells are provided additionally with single-row vertical branch pipe connecting outputs of side cells. All vertical branch pipes are arranged on branch side of radiator cells.
EFFECT: increased thermal efficiency owing to change of type of cell-to-cell coupling, increased service life and of radiator and its serviceability at compact design and reliability of construction.
