FIELD: alternative fuels.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to liquid hydrocarbon fuels with additives, in particular to water-fuel emulsions that can find use in diesel engines operated under elevated fire risk conditions. Summer diesel fuel-based fuel composition contains, wt %: water 1-20, oleic acid diethanolamide 0.227-4.505, oleic acid diethanolamine soap 0.066-1.314, diethanolamine 0.053-1.060, oleic acid diethanolamine monoester 0.084-1.664, and oleic acid aminoalcohol monoester 0.104-2.056. When in use, composition does not require modification of fuel system of diesel engine. Fuel composition is distinguished by high stability, which results in reduced fire risk of object. Moreover, exhaust gases contain concentrations of nitrogen oxides and carbon monoxide diminished by 30 and 15%, respectively, exhaust opacity is thrice lower, and evaluated characteristics of diesel fuels regarding their tendency to form coke in nozzles are twice as low as those of standard commercial summer diesel fuel. Specific consumption of fuel composition is also less by 4-5% due to better burning conditions.
EFFECT: improved performance characteristics of fuel.
