FIELD: agricultural engineering.
SUBSTANCE: corn combine has header with inclined chamber, cob conveyor, stalk catching rolls and cob cleaning unit with feeding chute. Stalk catching rolls and cob cleaning unit are located rearward of cob conveyor. Cob conveyor working surface is made sectioned in its width and is laterally restricted by inclined partitions extending in longitudinal-vertical plane. Cob conveyor sections are separated from each other by dividing walls and have width not in the excess of length of average sized cob. Dividing walls rest upon vertical partitions and have cross section shaped as equilateral angle with apex oriented upward.
EFFECT: increased efficiency by providing oriented feeding of cobs to feeding chute and cob cleaning unit to thereby reduce damage to cobs, and increased capacity of cob cleaning unit.
