FIELD: plastic working of metals at cutting chips, forming helical grooves in universal lathes.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes driving gear wheel that is rigidly secured to shaft and has boss mounted in chuck. Right end of shaft is pressed by means of tail stock. Front and rear discs are rigidly mounted in ends of shaft. Front centers are mounted with possibility of rotation around their axes according to diametrically arranged openings of front disc. Said discs are kinematically coupled with driven gear wheel that may perform free rotation relative to shaft axis and it is kinematically coupled with driving gar wheel through set of gear wheels whose axle is secured through bearing of mounting attachment to housing of lathe. Rear centers are mounted in rear disc according to diametrically arranged openings of said disc. Limiting sleeves may be mounted in shaft. Driving gear wheel may have diameter of pitch circle more or less that that of driven gear wheel. Apparatus may be provided with gear wheels of front center having different gear ratio values. At least two stops may be mounted in addition on shaft and they may be rigidly fixed relative to shaft by means of screws.
