FIELD: sealing engineering.
SUBSTANCE: radial shaft seal comprises shaft mounted in the housing and sealing member made of a flexible material and secured in the housing. The sealing member has projection that is in a contact with the shaft. The projection is pressed to the shaft by means of ring spring arranged on the outer periphery of the projection. The ring spring is made of a wound cylindrical spring which has at least one turn, and the free ends of the springs are provided with the bimetallic plate composed of two plates having the same coefficient of linear expansion.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability.
