FIELD: measurement technology.

SUBSTANCE: laser dosimeter has amplification unit which has first input connected with signal processing unit. Output of amplification unit is connected with analog-to-digital converter. Second input of amplification unit is connected with amplifier-former unit. First input and first output of amplifier-former unit are connected with signal processing unit. Third output of micro-controller is connected with signal processing unit. The fourth output of microcontroller is connected with amplifier-former unit. Third input of micro-controller is connected with amplifier-former unit. According to the method, voltage amplification factor is measured preliminary depending on laser radiation wavelength for any photo-receiving device due to registration of output values of detector under influence of laser radiation with preset wavelength. Amplification factors and parameters of pulse laser radiation are recorded into memory of micro-controller of the device and maximum permissible levels of pulses are calculated. After necessary photo-receiving device is connected, the wavelength is chosen depending on laser radiation wavelength. Signal is subject to amplification and integration. After being processed, the signal is compared with maximum permissible levels of pulses.

EFFECT: improved reliability of measurement.
