FIELD: transport engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed multiple=speed gearbox contains housing 1, drive shaft 2, mainshaft 3 and countershaft 4. Drive shaft 2 and mainshaft 3 are installed coaxially. Countershaft 4 is arranged in parallel with said shafts. Gears 8-12 of countershaft 4 are meshed in pairs with gears 14-18 freely fitted on mainshaft 3. Three low-speed gears and reverse gear are secured on countershaft 4. Reverse gear 20 is fitted on axle 5 between countershaft 4 and mainshaft 3. Two three-position shifter sleeves D(23) and E(24) are arranged on hubs of mainshaft 3 between two pairs of low-speed gears 16 and 17, and reverse gears 21 and 18, respectively. Three-position shifter sleeve A(22) is arranged on hub of drive shaft. Two two-position twin shifter sleeves B and C are arranged between second, third and fourth rows of gears. They consist, each, of two two-position sleeve members 25 and 26, 28 and 29 respectively, intercoupled by shifter forks 27 and 30. One of sleeve members is installed on gear rim of mainshaft 3 and the other is installed opposite to first one on gear of countershaft 4.
EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities of vehicle owing to increased number of forward speeds up to 24 and reverse speeds up to 8.
