FIELD: means for heating of metal blanks before plastic deformation, in particular, heating furnaces with a movable bottom in the form of trucks, for heating of metal blanks before hot rolling.

SUBSTANCE: the method for conveying of blanks in the passage of the heating furnace consists in a charge of the blanks by the manipulator, discrete translation of blanks by means of conveying trucks with supporting components on the bottom part in the direction of the charging zone to the zone of furnace unloading, unloading of heated blanks and return of the unloading trucks in the line of extra furnace conveying. Blanks are charged and unloaded in the furnace on a continuous bottom formed by means of conveying trucks with due account of the permanently measured width of the blanks and the necessary clearance between them for passage of the heat convection flows in accordance with the algorithms. For realization of the method a device is claimed that has approach and run-out roller beds blanks charging and unloading manipulators, conveying trucks with supporting components on the bottom part, gates with drives on the charging and unloading ends of the furnace, and a line of return of the trucks from the zone of unloading of the blanks to the zone of charging, the conveying trucks with supporting components form a continuous movable bottom of the furnace. The blank charging and unloading manipulators are provided with forklifts installed for vertical and horizontal motion along the conveying trucks in the intervals between the supporting components and the rollers of the approach and run-out roller beds. The device is provided with a blank conveying control system including transducers for registration of horizontal displacements of the forklifts installed in the zones of charging and unloading, and a device for measuring the width of the blanks installed in the zone of charging connected via the unit of generation of control signals to the drives of horizontal and vertical displacements of the manipulator forklifts as well as to the gate drives.

EFFECT: enhanced utilization factor of the furnace bottom at heating of blanks of different width thus increasing the furnace capacity for the plate mill "5000" approximately by 18 to 20%.
