FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thermal processing and can be used for hardening, particularly for cast elements of railway car bogie. For increasing impact strength of cast articles, operating in conditions of low temperatures and cyclic loads and increasing efficiency, one does two-stage normalization with heating, holding and cooling at a rate of 0.2-0.4 °C/s and tempering, upon that the first stage is heated to 930-980 °C, maintained 2.5-3 hours and cooled to 450-600 °C, and the second stage is heated to temperature of 900-950 °C, maintained during 2.5-3 hours and cooled to 450-600 °C, tempering is performed at 500-680 °C during 2-2, 5 hours with further cooling to temperature not exceeding 80-100 °C.
EFFECT: this device for realization comprises loading and unloading zone casts, establisheg series bushing: furnace, the first cooling chamber, second furnace, the second cooling chamber, furnace tempering and third cooling chamber, transporting trucks, rail line of discrete car displacement through the furnace and cooling chambers.
