FIELD: transport engineering; vehicle safety systems.
SUBSTANCE: according to invention, parameters of ambient medium and object on which safety system is installed are measured and, basing on said parameters, required velocity of gas flow and volume of gas are determined. Type of gas source is chosen to provide required velocity of gas flow and volume of gas. Pulse delivery of gas into envelope from supply sources is provided with simultaneous measurement of parameters of ambient medium and object on which system is installed and, basing on measured parameters, required rate of gas delivery is determined. Gas supply sources of required type are set into operation according to chosen rate. Invention provides quick action and accuracy of control of gas flow filling flexible envelopes depending on parameters of ambient medium and object, and safety of flexible envelopes at simultaneous action of supplied gas and ambient medium.
EFFECT: improved reliability and safety.
