FIELD: transportation traffic control.
SUBSTANCE: system has central computer and traffic data collecting local computer connected to central computer. Local computers are connected with signal sections of traffic lights mounted at crossroads, and video cameras disposed close to signal sections. There are personal computers onto transportation vehicles-users, which computers are specified for visual representation of data at traffic area. System is also provided with scanning units mounted onto traffic area in front of any traffic light section. Scanning units communicate as well with local computers at traffic lights which computers are mounted at the traffic light. Any transportation vehicle has individual transportation number. System allows receiving more complete and precise data on situation at traffic area, which helps to rational distribution of transport streams and more efficient assistance to users for choosing more optimal route.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of operation.
